Hundreds from the Gwich'in Nation, joined by international supporters, formed the shape of a caribou and the message 'Protect Forever' calling for the permanent protection of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge at the 2016 Gwich'in Gathering in Arctic Village, Alaska.
