Pebble Mine is a proposed colossal open pit gold and copper mineral excavation project planned to be built in the biologically rich and remote wild lands of Southwest Alaska's Bristol Bay watershed. There is a strong coalition of NGO's, commercial fishermen, tribes, and local / international businesses that have been fighting to protect these region for over a decade.
